In my book I interviewed 14 people. Eight of them struggled with a health condition or disease of some sort and couldn’t get solutions from their doctors.
Storm Cole was a 22 year old dancer and college student when she started feeling terrible. She researched on the internet and discovered her symptoms were describing chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia.
For six years her condition got progressively worse.
Her doctor was a family friend for years. When she told him about her symptoms, and that she felt she was experiencing chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, her doctor actually mocked her. He laughed at her and told her that he had it too. He thought it was in her head.
This is one terrible example of our failed health care system. Her doctor wasn’t trained to help her with her condition. Storm was feeling terrible, but the doctor didn’t have any test to confirm or treatment recommendations to offer.
At that point Storm never went back. She found a naturopath who helped her recover and heal. She learned how to cleanse and detox, how to deal with emotions and forgive, and used other holistic methods to help get her well.
She then was inspired to became a holistic health practitioner so she could help others heal.
If she would have continued going to her doctor, she most likely would have been on a handful of medications for pain, depression, to name a few. She most likely would have continued to be miserable and spending a fortune on healthcare.
Storm now works in Los Alamitos, California as a Holistic Health Practitioner.
