we need yo baby 2In pharmacy school, I learned that vaccines were an amazing invention that is credited with stopping serious diseases like polio by being able to trigger an immune response without causing the disease.

When we get exposed to a disease causing bacteria or virus, it takes our body two weeks to build up an immune response against the particular invaders. For mild infections, or the flu, you may feel sick for a few weeks while your body’s immune system works to fight the invaders. For more serious diseases, you can die before your body has a chance to build up the body’s defense.

So when vaccines are introduced into the body, it is able to build up the body’s immune response without causing the disease. So then if you are exposed to the disease causing bacteria or virus, your body’s immune system is prepared to fight so you won’t get the disease.

So it sounds like a great idea. I was vaccinated as a child and I’m fine now.

So what are all the debates about?

Here’s some problems with vaccines:

  • Too Many Required. As a child there were 16 recommended vaccines before 18 years of age. Now there are 64 recommended vaccines. When will it be enough?

  • No Long-Term Studies. Hepatitis B, which can contain aluminum and formaldehyde, is recommended to be given at the child’s birth. It’s almost impossible to find parents who are willing to offer their babies for vaccine testing. So there are no tests for the safety and efficacy of vaccines.

  • No liability. No studies means no liability. The “vaccine causes autism” debate is the most well-known argument, but exposing children to the large number of vaccines and toxins without studies means there could be a wide variety of health conditions that are caused by vaccines. But since there are no studies, then we cannot conclude that vaccines caused them and cannot make drug companies liable.

  • Vaccine Compensation Injury Fund (VICP) Drug Companies Don’t Pay for Injuries Caused by Vaccines Instead, there is a special “no fault” court set up to handle such claims as a way to provide compensation to injured children without driving drug manufacturers from the vaccine market. The intention was to create a system that spares the drug companies the costs of defending against parents’ lawsuits. This Compensation fund is paid for by a tax on each dose of vaccine. For each dose of vaccine 75 cents is added for the VICP fund. Currently there is $3 billion in the fund.

  • No Responsibility, so just SELL, SELL, SELL. Vaccine manufactures and doctors have no responsibility for the safety of their products. Therefore, they can just create more and more vaccines to sell for this billion-dollar industry.

In summary, at one time vaccines may have been a good idea, but they have evolved into a huge seller for the pharmaceutical companies. More and more vaccines are recommended for diseases that are not dangerous and as a result patients are getting unnecessary vaccines which all carry a variety of toxins which can cause severe side effects.  Vaccines are another terrible example of our capitalistic medical system seeking profits over health.
